Tony Cochran Guitars Custom #31
I got this electric guitar one rainy morning from a street person in Ottawa, Canada. He was stumbling stupid drunk and slinging a stinky bag formed from a pee stained pink blanket and dingy string. Guitar shaped bundles catch my eye almost as fast as a fine lady, so I began to follow him. I caught up with him in front of Rockin' Johnny's Diner on St. Laurent. I asked him if I could see what was in the bag and he said he would show me if I bought him breakfast. I had a bit of trouble freeing this beauty from its makeshift satchel, so as bits of hash brown shot through the portals of his missing teeth, he told me this tale. Back in 1970 he had a band called Domenique and the Snakebit. They played a Reggae flavored psycho-gospel music that had a small local following and a virtual lock on any wedding in the area. He told me the knobs represented the other members of the band "Sun" Winston, "Star" Kleck, and "Bird" Navudia. All who perished when their Dodge A-100 van ran off the river road outside of Osgoode. He was the sole survivor. He said it was all he had left of them and he carried it with him everywhere everyday since 1972. He also said he would never ever part with it. I began to lay 20s on the table until he said "It's yours." I need at least that much back.
